Today I am going to voice my opinion on the Dr Perricone No Foundation Foundation. This is an odd one as in one camp it is a bit of a cult product yet there are so many bad reviews out there on this product – really seems to divide opinion.
What they Say
Created to keep skin looking dewy and flawless, this unique formula delivers many benefits of a traditional foundation without the heavy matte finish, which can emphasise the tiniest skin of imperfections.
• 3-in-1 Foundation, Treatment and SPF 30
• Corrects skin undertones, softens fine lines and boosts skin’s natural moisture.
• Gives a natural, healthy, dewy finish.
• Paraben-free.
What I think
This sort of grew on me and I have come to really like the product. To start with I hated it and very nearly sent it straight back to QVC for my money back, but you get a 30 day return policy and I decided to stick with it a little longer. First off it smells like dried apricots – can’t say I particularly like this (yucky) but I am now use to it.
It was also a lot thicker than I expected it to be which concerned me as I like a nice light base, tending to lean towards the tinted moisturizer for daily use. Other than this I can’t really put my finger on what I disliked so much – maybe I was just expecting too much and it didn’t quite deliver…?
So 6 weeks on of testing 3 times per week as I said this has really grown on me and I am looking forward to this being my base of choice when I retire my tinted moisturizers at the end of the summer. It does create a really dewy finish that stays put all day sorting of blurring imperfections on the skins surface giving a natural flawless base.
Very sheer and is neither matt nor oily in its finish, it also isn’t moisturizing so use on top of your normal moisturizer (giving it a good 10 mins to soak in first).
I also really like the SPF30 (which may explain a little why the cream is heavier than I was expecting), it’s nice to have product of this strength SPF that doesn’t feel like its clogging my pores and creating a mask over the skin. It also has a lot of skin friendly ingredients in it that I like to think are helping my skin not fighting with it everyday.
Notes – You will not like this if :
You have pale “English rose skin” – it will be too dark for you.
You suffer with very oily skin – I don’t think this will sit well on your skin type
You need to have pretty good skin in the first place for this to enhance – it doesn’t provide coverage.
All in all I am now glad a bought this product and stuck with it – whether this is a repurchase for me I will have to wait and see……………
Has anyone else tried this ? – I would love to hear your thoughts on it

I am one of the people who did not like this and I did send it back to QVC after wearing it everyday for two weeks. Right off, I hated the smell, but I kind of got past it. It’s funny because I felt it did everything it said it didn’t. It was thick and heavy, I could feel it on my face, very greasy, and I have normal skin, and made a bit of sun damage that I have just stand out. I wanted to like it, but I just couldn’t.

If you want to try this then def only buy from a site like QVC that lets you return used items. It’s too expensive to risk it if it’s not your cup of tea
